I'd rather have improving fundamentals than improving "uncertainty" though. It means there is still demand out there at the core. I always thought there was or should be but last year really was trying. Anyway the uncertainty stems in large part from the political "leadership" that we have, and I'm hoping that improves once the iraq situation abates and the poll numbers hit the Bush cabinet. I have friends at Applied and apparently there was a corp webcast to announce another weeklong shutdown and the management (not Morgan the CEO) pretty much blamed their perdicament on US presidential politics. I guess they can't sell anything to the foreign fabs, China is afraid of how the WH handled Korea, for one thing.
