I agree completely that the WLL operators would like nothing better than to be allowed to buy cellular licenses and kick GSM butt. However, do they have the money to pay what the current cellular operators paid for comparable spectrum over comparable territories/pops? Even if they do, will they be able to price service substantially below the GSM crowd in order to appeal to the masses?

As you point out, the CDMA networks will be substantially more feature-rich, and may thus draw a higher percentage of cellular subscribers. But will the price be low enough to grow the pie as well? And grow it enormously as the WLL operators, especially Reliance, obviously want to?
