to assert that "anti-war posters here" are so sounds as if you include the many folk on this thread who cast a critical eye at Bush's policies. Then your assertion is simply wrong. And demeaning.

Wow.
Come on John, that is being pretty thin skinned. LB has a point and he made it an unthreatening, uninsulting way. No need to get hysterical.

And there are historical examples of his point. Such as when US Tanks faced down Soviet tanks at Checkpoint Charlie in 1961. The fully armed confrontation was from less than 150 yards apart. Similar events happened several more times over the years at Checkpoint Charlie and The Brandenberg Gate, and Berliners often covered American tanks with flowers as they rumbled through the city. Even as they objected to and demonstrated against the Allied occupation.

The argument here just appears to be the anti VS the pro war faction. Veterans like LB and me share your hatred of war. the difference between us seems to be that some of us never want to fight and some of us think some things are worth fighting for.

If I am right...arguing here will never resolve anything. That is why I quit posting here.

If I am wrong...the seemingly anti war faction here needs to describe their true position and what they think is worth fighting for. I was here the day this thread started and have yet to see that.

Wishfully hoping that the world has changed and all is well doesn't hack it.
The world has changed and it is more hazardous than ever.
