lot to digest there. Probably won't hit on every point in this post, but I'll try to hit them over the weekend.

China - I believe that china is definitely waging war with the U.S. ( and the world) right now. They are absolutely trying to position themselves as the superpower heir apparent. Not necessarily a military war, but an economic and cultural war. I do not believe that they will be successful until they have an internal revolution. The things that have to change are their internal corruption and their less than forthright business practices. If businesses cannot trust contracts to be enforced and if they cannot make money in China, they will eventually catch on and just walk away. And those two conditions are definitely an issue in China right now. China needs the western world to dig the bulk of their population out of an agrarian state.

The Dinar - Yes, I think that this may be a very important development on the worldwide economy. I'm not sure that it is a bad thing in the long run either.

You mention populations having changed dramatically. Those large populations may be more of an albatross than a benefit.
