Bush appointed the first black Secretary of State, as well as the first black National Security Advisor (and two of the most competent to hold the office in years, in my view).

Stop........you're being silly while demeaning what it means to be great.

I find these to be significant break throughs for blacks, and I find it particularly interesting that a Republican was instrumental. Strange, until you consider that Republicans put the first woman and black on the Supreme Court.

Somehow, Democrats' lip service to these causes just doesn't rise to the level of Republicans' actions. You want talk, call a Democrat. You want action, the Republican will deliver it every time.
