I would agree... this is extremely important.

- lower compliance costs.

- fairer.

- no distortions due to "preference" items.

- less opportunities for politicians of either party
to show favoritism to certain groups.

- more predictability for businesses and individuals
to do long-term planning... just the fact that the
tax code seems to change so often imposes extra costs
on the economy by disrupting long-term plans.
