Have a very weird problem.

My Mom's keyboard is messed up. We have tried rebooting a couple times and have tried a different keyboard.

What it is doing is this. You press a key and you hear a click through the sound system, the actual speakers, not just the speaker in the tower and if you hold the key down, it will eventually register on the screen, about a 1 to 2 second delay type of thing. If you type several keys in a row, as in typing a word, nothing will show up. You have to hold the key down wait for it to register on the screen and then you can type the next letter. Very very bizarre.

We have checked the keyboard icon in the control panel and it is set to repeat delay short and repeat rate fast. However, I don't think that has anything to do with it as it was working before.

Suggestions as to what might be causing this oddity?

Thanks
Scott
