OT re: <persons who actually likes McDonald's food>

Lose your taste, friend, that stuff is pure poison.

Eating saturated fats (not cholesterol) and sugars will kill you. Eating sugar or simple carbohydrates serves to raise your triglycerides.

There is a new camp of preventional cardiologist who are aggressively promoting the prevention of atherosclerosis. I just attended an eight hour seminar given by some of the best from around the country.

Ie the time to act is BEFORE you've had your stroke.

In addition to your Lipitor (a must for every male over 40 and every female over 50 IMHO) and your Niaspan and Tricor,
positive diet intervention also works.
Eating a chunk of salmon every day is proven to prolong your life, So believe it or not is eating walnuts (other nuts are good but walnuts are perhaps the best). Grapes are particularly good for you as are all reddish vegetables.

Note that being "organic" has nothing to do with it because coconut and palm hearts while being natural are just as bad as eating McDonalds-they are full of saturated fats.
Do not think of them as food but rather as "tropical grease".

Well thanks for the excuse to sound off on one of my favorite topics. Again the time to act is before an event.

Now that you have (finally) seen the light and joined the gold bull camp, you have become worth saving. <g>
