THE BEST IS YET TO COME - PART II SK Telecom alliances in China and Japan. It is clear that SK has ambitious global plans since domestic opportunities are just about tapped out. If they manage to build a network in Asia with true voice and data roaming capabilities, they would be far ahead while the 3GPP continues to revise and revise and revise with each member bickering over each detatil which may give them a slight monopolistic advantage. Then with all the multi mode chipsets that qcom is developing, they can offer the euro carriers true 3G solutions.
