Interesting questions you pose Nadine. Actually what the French might really want is perpetual inspections, insured by the continued presence of US troops in the region. But of course they must realize that the US cant turn adjacent countries into bases because that fuel al quaida. And of course then there is the runaway euro which will give the US a strong upperhand in any recovery, as our exports revive. Europe heading for deflation and recession is one of the results of inaction on iraq. We should all go on a vacation for 3 weeks or so. French will be onboard by then and the German people will understand that their natural pacifism is trumped by reality, both political and economic. mike
