John, I think you are talking about Fareed Zakiria (sp?) on ABC news. He was saying that anti-Americanism is extremely high throughout the world. He was speaking with Mahatir of Malaysia who said that anti-American feeling is higher today than the peak of the Vietnam war. Zariria said that when he got underneath the surface of this anti-Americansim he found two schools. The first is afraid that America will fail and make the situation in the Gulf region much worse. The second are those who think that the US will succeed thus making the US even more powerful and leaving countries such as France with even less clout in the world. Paul
