So I'm sure you'll understand why I'm not enthusiastic about 44% of my taxes going toward two of the biggest examples of government bureaucracy and waste. In comparison, 16% going to defense is a bargain.

Tell your gripe to people in their 60's; better yet lets check back 30 years from now and see how you feel about your current twin pet peeves. As for defense spending, against whom are we defending? I thought we were the only superpower in the world.

Your record on predicting elections leaves much room for improvement. ;-)


Excuse me, but as you can tell by the latest polls, I miscalculated on the timing, not the impact. If the elections were held today, the results would be quite different. It seems the more Bush shows his true intent, the more people get turned off. I think Mr. Bush's salad days may be over. It really depends on which is more important to him.....the conservative revolution or what the American people want. Clearly, the two are not one and the same.
