Hi Carol and Steve
Carol thanks for all your info.
Steve I was talking more about a real bomb being found - not just a bomb threat. The public forgot about the 1985 bombing - and I think only real threats will make this a long term prospect.
What happens if it was not a bomb - I know this is not likely - but suppose they found is was a unique failure of the plane or a missle hit - and there have been cases where a cause is never proven conclusively (which is a definite possibility in this case) - do you think the bottom would fall out?
Also none of these detection devices can protect from a missle hit - how hard is it for a terrorist to get a Stinger or other missle that would make any of these bomb detectors useless? It would seem that this would be the best type of weapon for a terrorist. And would severely reduce the demand for expensive bomb detectors.
Thanks for your info and opinions! Oak
