Eva. SDII wasn't set up to push any one point of view
whether it be bullish or bearish on gold or anything else.
The old Strictly Drilling thread was torn apart by perma bulls who were intolerant of any point of view other than their own. Their continual sniping and baiting aimed at a couple of us who were trying to present a strongly evidenced and well thought out contrarian thesis about an important sector top, eventually let to a huge thread war.
So, when a small handful of us began PMing off board about the the kind of thread we wanted to develop here? One of the most important ideas was to encourage different views, IF they are presented in a serious way with supporting facts and information. And we've been pretty consistent about sticking with that.
If you want to debate Bert, as some here have done quite admirably (IMO), then by all mean present stats, charts, fundamentals or anything else you want to offer.
Show us how you think, analyize, and evaluate a company, sector, trend, or market cycle. That kind of writing, not party line cheer leading is what's made SD II a consitently strong and highly regarded thread.
Because Bert has shown on numerous occassions that he can share facts and information AWA opinions with us? AFA I'm concerned, he'll continue to be welcome here as a thoughful, quality contributor whether the majority agrees with him or not.
And beyond that? Have serious doubts that a reasonable pre-requisite for fun is that everyone should agree with my market read, or yours.
Best regards,
