I'm a (potential) newbie to the world of Metastock. I just attended a presentation and was, to say the least, pretty impressed. Right now I'm using a telephone line, 56K modem (no DSL, cable modem yet in my area), good computer system, online brokerage, stockcharts, MurphyMorris. I use my own scans and use candlesticks and other TA to try to play breakouts and continuations (which probably makes me sound like a lot of people).
My takeaway from the presentation is the next step up for me is to obtain a charting system and a data feed. I'm really new at this and would appreciate any advice from this thread. I'm a little familiar with Metastock, Tradestation and TC2000 as software products, but not at all with data services.
And Power Etrade, which is a co sponsor with Metastock. Can anyone advise from their personal experience? [I realize these are very very basic questions, but a guy's gotta start somewhere.]
