We're all provincial, Holly, just in different ways, that's all. Me, I'm a fairly un-travelled, un-broadened SIer, I've visited Stockhouse and took a bus tour through Kitco, but I've never seen AOL or Prodigy or Genie, and there are forums out there I've never heard of, for sure. For most of it, it might be wise to wait for when Silicon Geographic comes out, imho, much safer that way. One thing I noticed while travelling, especially at Stockhouse, was; Man, are those foreign people weird, or what?!

Maybe Jill and the Dryers could issue us passports, that might help in those crisis moments in other lands. Inside the cover, they might say; "Her Siliconic Majesty requests from all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as necessary." That's more or less how the passports in this (geographically speaking) country used to read, before we heard of a guy named Trudeau......No, let's not get into that, trust me, you don't want to know.......suffice it to say that there were certain negative factors to being a Boomer in the Great White North. Of course, you had Nixon, we heard about that, tough pick between them, imho.

That quizzical smile, the bright eyes, those John Lennon glasses.....you remind me of someone I used to know. Do you wear long flowing pure-cotton dresses and gumboots, by any chance? Or sandals at that latitude, eh?

And Tomato.....he has a Sergeant Garcia bigote (moustache)! Looks like a reasonable guy, I'd drink beer with him. Mind you, I'd drink beer with most anybody.

Seriously though, it would be great to be able to attend an SI meeting, with luck we will in time. SIers are world-wide, though, bev and I are on a thread with a guy from Dubai, and the other day a guy named "andy" was making intelligent comments on the "Canadian Banks" thread, so I looked at his profile, he's in Singapore......working for (you guessed it) a Canadian bank. It's a great forum, eh? Nothing quite like the Previous/Next/Respond green, green grass of home. See ya later.....
