It is understandably reluctant to see the same mistakes and bloodshed revisited upon the present generation.

Europe's mistake was that they didn't eliminate a tyrant earlier. They are making the same mistake.

What credible threat does Saddam pose to the world?

It won't be too much longer until Saddam has a nuclear capability. There are many who would gladly take this weapon and detonate it in downtown New York, L.A. or Washington D.C. We may never even know who provided the weapon and who exploded it, but the inevitable result would be several hundred thousand deaths followed by a worldwide depression.

No threat? You're joking.
