At minimum, the sending of a message to the Bush regime and to the world. If enough people participate to make dubya realize it would cost him re-election, it could prevent the invasion of Iraq. That still doesn't tell me what you think, in terms of a present impression. Those are hypotheticals - what might happen, what would happen, what could happen. Rather, what I'm interested in knowing is: as of right now what, in your opinion, you think the demonstrations will accomplish. If you think they'll stop the war, if you think they won't, if you don't know, etc. LPS5
