Yiwu,
I hope to be able to chat with you on this thread for a long time. The input of folks in China is needed here. China now is a major power. All this talk about the US being the worlds only superpower is myopic. There will be several major countries/regions with large roles to play in the future to keep the peace. Your presence here proves that China has opened up enough to be one of those major players. My point in the earlier post is that such a role for china requires her at this time Not to protect rogue regimes that were/are allied against new friends like South Korea. China at peace with South Korea and Japan is the key to the future of the region and NK can muck that up big time. So i hope Chinas leadership can prevent the next irrational move of the North Koreans and if not at least give its new friends fair warning. Mike
