Its too bad that the GOP has to look for a Machiavellian plot line rather than consider their nominee may not be a good one.

He is far from the only conservative that the democrats have opposed and he appears to be a very good candidate.

Good candidate? That's where there is considerable dispute. It surprises me that you don't see the controversial nature of this nominee.
