Speaking of things done without science... Did you know that universal circumcision was adopted in the late Victorian age as a preventative cure to "masturbatory insanity?" Even the AMA finally had to admit there was no clinical basis for universal circumcision FOR ANY REASON, including penile cancer. Just so much hooey and it took 100 years for the Drs. to admit the mistake. Very quietly I might add.
