Now if I were an AV vendor and I knew that, what would I do?" the implication being what? that symantec is all frequency and no substance? glad you brought that up. none of it is a secret, gottfried. symantec publishes the contents of each update. they tell you exactly what definitions were added. for 1/27, new viruses added were: Comzone.512 Deadman.Sysman.gen W32.Rads@mm for 1/24, new viruses added were: HLLP.Gartin.9680 HLLW.26808 Lemming.2144.a PWSteal.Senhas Trojan.Downloader.Inor Trojan.Qwe VBS.Jasam@mm VBS.Sdan@mm W32.Bibrog@mm W32.HLLW.Indor.B@mm W97M.DeByte for 1/23 there were 16 added (all named) for 1/22 there were 8 added (all named) and the list goes back to June 2002... does AVG do that too? cause if they do, we sure could compare, and see who's bullshitting who :)
