What is your point?

UN approval is only important as a measure of other countries approval. If most of the world thinks something is fine but for some reason the UN issued a degree against it, that decree would be meaningless unless the more powerful countries decided to impose it. The UN's opinions and rules are pretty meaningless by themselves.

You do understand that I didn't bring up the issue of the UN?
