that's an alphabetical listing of AVG's virus database.

no help at all when trying to determine what defs were released on what date.

i did find where grisoft does mention a few virus names on one page, indicating that defs for same are contained in a given release.

my point is that since AVG's last update on the 21st, symantec has released 38 virus signatures, and named them all, placing them on a separate web page ( securityresponse.symantec.com ) , where they can be identified and accounted for.

which directly speaks to your comments, "It's tempting to grade AV vendors on the frequency of their updates, isn't it? Now if I were an AV vendor and I knew that, what would I do?"
