I hope it is something minor like a meniscus tear. I had one that literally exploded while walking down stairs in a hurry. But I was back at work on crutches on the third day following an hour long or so outpatient arthroscopic surgery. If it is arthroscopic and you are the least bit more squeemish than curious, don't watch the monitor. I started to, but when the screen came on, the inside of my knee looked for all the world as if a fish had exploded into a gajillion pieces in an aquarium. Reminded me of chum they throw overboard to attract sharks for fishermen. Funny now, but I almost puked at the time. I am usually OK when I see blood and gore. I found out that it's other people's blood and gore I can handle, but not mine. That was 10 yrs ago and if I ever need another stay awake and watch surgery, I'm wearing eye patches.
