I recently installed a Linskys WSB24 wireless signal booster onto my BEFW11S4 wireless router for my WAN. It is very effective in increasing the quality of data to wireless connections located close to the device, and is also effective in increasing signal strength and internet connection speed to farther nodes.

My primary interest was getting a stronger/faster connection to the wirelessly connected laptops in my wife's study (3 floors down and at the other corner of the house from the wireless router). I suspect this device will also be a success with folks wanting a WAN in older houses (that have coats of lead based paint on the walls) as well.

A stronger and faster internet connection for the laptops in the house: $80. A happier wife: priceless.
