Probably the US supplied Iraq with weapons of mass destruction (to be used on the Iranians during their war); that's why it's soooooo difficult to disclose to the world "why" the US knows with certainty that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Also, my opinion,the main reason for targeting Sadaam is because he pays the Palestinian suicide bombers. The rest of the world considers the Palestinians as "freedom fighters" NOT terrorists since they are fighting the Israelis to get off their land. This is never mentioned in the press. Sadaam poses a threat to Israel not USA. Focusing on the US coveting those oil wells is a ruse, however, it's a nice booty of war.
