Hi Brumar,
You said: make excuses for Saddam's crimes

But which crimes merit war? Regardless of the variety of heinous crimes can be catalogued, the Constitution requires a "clear and present danger" to the Republic. There's nothing about correcting the crimes and abuses of the various foreign powers around the world.
Yet that presumption is bandied about by administration apologists as if it were US obligation, regardless of danger to US taxpayers and citizens.

Who is "making excuses"? Saddam actions seem universally condemned.

It doesn't seem that by not creating millions of flying body parts in Baghdad, Saddam is somehow "having excuses made for him"
