Thanks for the positive China Telecom article concerning their testing of CDMA2000. Could this be the first sighting of event #4 on my list of 13 Potential events that could dramatically increase Qualcomm’s acceptance by the market forces?

China Telecom does not have an announced plan to do WCDMA and therefore does not meet your criteria. Perhaps you were confusing it with China Mobile?

Thanks for the positive Verizon article. Could we be seeing the first signs of event #9 on my list of 13 potential events that could dramatically increase Qualcomm’s acceptance by the market forces?

Perhaps, but I think it's a premature assessment. Sprint is still doing badly and Nextel & AWE are still doing well. This trend would take a couple of KDDI 1X vs DoCoMo FOMA-like months or many more at smaller divergences to clearly establish a trend that would affect the market. Also, the idea of CDMA superiority is undermind considerably if VZ does well but PCS does not.
