LOUISVILLE, Ky., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- National Processing Company (NPC®), a leading provider of merchant credit and debit card processing and a wholly owned subsidiary of National Processing, Inc. (NYSE: NAP), is now a Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) AdminiServeSM partner. Through AdminiServe, MGMA's preferred supplier network, NPC will offer card processing services including authorization and settlement services for VISA®, MasterCard® and debit transactions to MGMA's 19,000 members.

"We are delighted with the opportunity to work with MGMA," said Tim Munto, senior vice president and general manager of National Sales for NPC. "Credit and debit card payments have been gaining wide-spread acceptance in the medical community as they seek to streamline practices and improve cash flow. NPC will provide members of MGMA merchant processing services at discounted rates that they would not be able to obtain on their own individually."

Founded in 1926, MGMA is the nation's principal voice for medical group practice. MGMA's mission is to improve the effectiveness of medical group practices and the knowledge and skills of the individuals who manage and lead them. MGMA leads the profession and assists members through information, networking, education and advocacy.

"NPC is constantly looking for new markets and opportunities to expand our processing services," said Mark D. Pyke, chief operating officer for NPC. "We have a long history of working with associations to deliver tailored processing solutions for their membership that benefits both the association and the member."

"Our organization looks for vendors like NPC that can deliver products and services that our members need and use," said William F. Jessee, MD, CMPE, president and CEO of MGMA. "Value and outstanding service are important to our members and NPC provides both."
