Bob, the way to tell if this is anything more than an oversold bounce is to wait and see if the market can break through resistance at the former necklines of the respective head and shoulders necklines of the major indices.

On the SOX we are watching 285.

So far we have not been able to rally through that resistance level. Two tries and two failures thus far.
