Until you can own up to the unintended consequences of inaction, you have no argument.

The problem with this hollow debate is that there is no methodology in which proponents of action versus inaction can weigh in the unintended consequences of either set of circumstance without a crystal ball. So it's not that scott has no argument but, rather, it's impossible to calculate the blowback or opportunity cost associated with diverting our resources into an invasion and occupation of Iraq. And because this is a war of choice, and not of necessity, there is a greater burden on the Bush Administration to present a cogent case for leading this country into war.
