The ABA, a liberal organization of attorneys, whose advise is ALMOST ALWAYS followed, gave Pickering its highest rating. Sorry........Pickering got their second highest rating....a little unusual for a judge being recommended for a federal position. I believe it is correct to say that at no time in history has a judge having the ABA "Well Qualified" rating been denied an up or down vote. Until Pickering. Why this time? "At no time in history"......are you sure you don't want to recant that statement? Frankly, I think you make things up as you go along. ted
