Funny how only I get clobbered when I say this :) That's because you look at this world through far rosier lenses than most of the rest of us... :0) Hand Arafat keys to a sovereign State, and all the wild hatred will be all but gone. Instantly. Definitely spoken with tongue planted firmly in cheek... (or else I'm due for some ESL courses too.. :0) And there's not a chance in h*ll that "peace" will break out in Palestine until the militant leaders and their armed networks of terrorists are eliminaated or neutralized and moderate politicos come to forefront in the PA. Arafat has never had a vested interest in a lasting peace in an independent Palestine. He would not be able to gain any respect from the rest of the despotic Arab leaders with whom he's associated were he not continually hostile to Israel... Which is one more reason that the structure of systemic hatred has to be unwound in the middle east. To remove those regimes who seek to use the Israeli Palestinian issue as a means for perpetuating turmoil in the region. Hawk
