10 million will be added by China Telecom and China Netcom using CDMA 450.

Not totally out of the blue Jim. I think Telephony had an article this fall hinting at CDMA450 in China and there have been a couple of other hints. This is the first number I have seen mentioned in association with it though - 10 million. Kind of amazing given how much press Unicom had but I guess they are saying 10 million by end of 2003. The whole CDMA450 in china movement happened when Russia and others in Eastern Europe went to ZTE to get equipment, then China must have decided to think about making some for their own use.
