But, unlike the old Soviet Union or modern Japan, the US has a remarkable capacity for rapid policy responses, which is shared to a considerable degree by the other English-speaking countries. So while capitalism has not been wisely managed of late, it will be better managed in the Anglo-American world as a result of the bubble.
