I agree with you regarding the Chinese.

They are a major concern in the balance of world power. They have 4-5X our population are are making huge strides technologically, largely as a result of the collapse of the USSR and the Security sieve under Clinton.

They will sell more weapons, perhaps even to Al Queda and sympathizers. When we get hit again, the world will not be so sympathetic. China would certainly not be moaning about that.

I would not mind if we stopped beating our chest quite so hard in the world forum.

The Chinese will just watch, learn and adapt. At some point in my lifetime, I expect a shift in the balance of world influence and power.
