Ted Re...But here's where I am annoyed.....Bush, Rumsfield, Cheny and C. Rice all intimated at one point or another that they had proof there is a smoking gun and it was only a matter of time before it was found.
I don't think a lot of people realize, that we know, and the UN weapons inspectors know, that Saddam manufactured a a certain defineable amount of weapons. That is where the confusion is. People are trying to say, if we haven't found anything, therefore,we have no proof that Saddam has these weapons. True, but there is proof that Saddam did have them at one time, so the question is, where are they now. It would be like a bank robber denying in court that he didn't rob the bank, because the police didn't recover the money, even though there is incontrovertable proof from the cameras, he did the robbery. We know he has the weapons, we just haven't found them yet. Probably because they are buried somewhere, and we probably won't find them until we do a lot of serious digging. |
