Only if one presupposes what the content of the tapes were.

Bork was third in line after the Saturday Night Massacre -- I'm not sure that's a position from which one disobeys a president. It was, no doubt, a tough call. We did not know at that point all we know today.

Any man who can write a book that properly places blame for America's cultural decline squarely on the backs of liberals is okay with me, and would no doubt make an excellent justice for the Supreme Court.
