I guess I should ask you, then, what is relevant? Jews are over- represented, proportionately, among concert performers too. What significance does that have? Is there a conspiracy to control the concert repetoire (which is, incidentally, mostly composed of Germans and Austrians, with a dollop of French, Russians, Americans, and others)? It has long been noted that foreign policy in the 20th century was mostly run by the WASP establishment, coming out of the Ivy League. Not only is that eroding, but it should one make much out of it as a transient phenomenon?
By the way, people like Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite act as the editors of the nightly news, and primarily determine what gets on the air. I would bet that if there were excessive editorial interference from the brass, one would hear about it. And I still have not figured out how marrying Maury Povich makes Connie Chung Jewish.
