okay, i missed that you talked to umax first. sorry.

but i still think your best option is with umax, given that no one can find a win2000 system file named ns3400.dll, and it is umax's software that is asking for that file.

the tech who sent you packing off to dell was wrong.

i recommend that you either call umax again, or email them, and explain what you have learned regarding ns3400.dll.

i even searched the win2000 installation disk. i didn't find it there either.

i searched umax's knowledge base to no avail. they have a "support account" option, but they ask for your email address and password, so that's all for you to try, if you haven't already.

perhaps someone else on the thread with win2000 will let us know if they found the file.

short of that, it's back to umax, the way i see it
