I read a research done by a British scientist, his recommendation was that do NOT use cell phone in car or bus, on airplane, or any other confined environment. The reason? because the microwave is trapped by medal, and even if car or bus has windows, the microwave still does not escape themselves. As a result, when a cellphone or other wireless equipment is used in those confined environment, the transmitting microwave produced around it is dozens of times higher than the safety level. And that very likely induces cancer. So use wireless in an open environment should be fine.
