USA to grant billions for hydrogen
First Hydrogen Expo USA hits target
Duesseldorf/Germany, 29 January 2003 – After George W. Bush's State of the Union Address, in which the President of the United States announced a billion-dollar grant for hydrogen fuel cells, the first Hydrogen Expo USA on March 4 to 6, 2003 in Washington D.C. is right on time. This was announced by Freesen & Partner GmbH, organizer of this exhibition for hydrogen and fuel cells technologies. Hydrogen Expo USA, held in partnership with the National Hydrogen Association's (NHA) renowned Annual Meeting, provides an international forum for the latest research trends and market-ready products. These developments are meant to relieve global dependence on oil imports from politically instable regions and to decrease green house gas emissions.
Exhibitors and sponsors of Hydrogen Expo USA and the NHA Annual Meeting include the U.S. Department of Energy and industry leaders such as Air Products, BMW, BP, Chevron Texaco, Ford and Linde.
In Germany, Freesen & Partner launched Hydrogen Expo in 2001 in Hamburg as the world's first stand-alone hydrogen trade show. Now in its third successful year, the event is designed to educate the industry and end-users about the benefits and commercial potential of this future technology. At the same time, Hydrogen Expo has become the leading marketplace for suppliers and buyers of innovative energy and propulsion technologies. freesen.de
