Maurice,
Thanks for sharing the details of your political compass. I'm surprised at the strong Libertarian score you achieved. I'm suffering quite a bit of cognitive dissonance over this because of your favorable regard for the Boy King. On the authoritarian/libertarian scale, the Shrub rates somewhere in the neighborhood of Stalin, Hitler and Thatcher. Certainly not within a million miles of the libertarian side. His top down authoritarian bias is revealed by quotes such as "If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier...just as long as I'm the dictator..." --Washington, DC, Dec 18, 2000, during his first trip to Washington as President-Elect

And then there's the "smoking guns" of authoritarian bias. Things like the USA PATRIOT Act, the Homeland Security Act, the Nuclear Posture docucment, the National Security Strategy document, the secret trials and incarcerations of "enemy combatants", the Total Information Agency and other artifacts of the modern police state simply don't jive with your "libertarian" protestations.
So, I suffer from some cognitive dissonance, but I'm afraid you suffer from a cognitive comprehension deficit. You seem unclear on the concept of who George Bush really is.
Perhaps you need to revisit your support for Bush? Else you can possibly explain to me how you can preach being a Libertarian whilst actually supporting the most authoritarian President the USA has ever suffered.
