Kerry's policies make sense, even the fine print. And every one of his "lines" is backed by sincere, comprehensive policy. Bush's slogans and policies are usually smoke-screens for giveaways to the rich or corporate interests. For instance his forest program claiming to stop forest fires is already letting timber interests clear-cut Sequoia lots. His "Clear Skies" deregulation for pollutors after gutting the Clean Air Act. Very important you see through the Bush slogans. The Bushies are artists at disinformation slogans and deflections. Like "I want war with Iraq for peace". Very tricky mind games his speech-writers play on us. They only start to do the right thing when polls drop on them. Then they rarely follow-through. For instance campaign finance reform was passed over Bush's "dead body" after the Enron scandals but now he's trying to defeat them "secretly" in court. So the impression is rarely the reality. And notice Bush hasn't mentioned Bin Lauden or Enron in a long-long time. Another one is "the economy is growing". technically due to military build-up that could be true but who outside the oil and defense business is doing well? They also pulled two fast ones recently, doing away with unemployment reporting and allowing lobbyists to wine and dine without reporting. Very corrupt stuff. These are his Achilles Heels, and he knows what people would do if they understood the truth. Vote him out in 2004.
