And to me that is the main disconnect between the voters and the dems. They have traded in their moral arguments, for any argument against Gw, no matter the merit. You will note that Kennedy, Locke, Daschle, Polosi, all started their speeches by saying Saddam is a rotten fellow. Then mysteriously, they are trying to defend a policy of doing nothing. If Saddam is so bad, then do something. If however they said Saddam, while he killed a few of his people,all of that is in the past, and now he is an able, efficent administer etc.; that would make some sense. That would be an argument people could buy. GW has taken the moral high ground. The dems have decided to take the low road. I have no idea why. |
