have had a long interest in astronomy...very humbling hobby...hope you have fun with your new scope...your observation about being frustrated by shaky mounts is so true...most astronomers spend more on their mounts than on the scope itself...I built an observatory which has a 14 foot dome on top...I had them pour a second foundation inside the building which is completely separate from the main structure...then used a 17 foot 12 inch well casing thru the middle of building for scope...also filled the casing with sand to dampen motion...works well but shows you what you have to do to keep the damn thing from shaking
