| We dont need to post URL's for everything we say. I read some things in papers, magazines, hear from friends, see on TV, even read between the lines. If I had nothing else to do I could go around posting URL's, but I like the honor system. Dont post anything you cannot prove if you have to. And if you are ever wrong admit it and learn. Also, many generally true statements are only 60-99% true. There's always some exception. For instance, if I say, Bush defends polluters, I'm sure there's been one or two times he hasn't. Example, right before he decided to run for President he suddenly stopped rewarding polluters in Texas, but that wasn't until late in 1999 according to "The Dirty Truth", written by a Texas expert who records all the details. And the reasons were political not because he wanted to stop. Bush is not 100% bad, nor is anyone 100% good. But if he's 65% wrong IMHO I am going to grouse a lot about it, because we definitely can do a lot better, at least 50% better. Or whatever the percentage. So no I dont believe in black and white even if I sound like it sometimes. But largely partisan statements are necessary because of what I hear from the other side. Whenever I hear Rush Limbaugh dittoheads lie, omit or exaggerate I have the right to post the opposite arguments. But look at my statements and tell me where I have lied. If you find a lie, challenge me and I will find proof for you. But only a few please. I'm busy these days. If you ask for too much I wont have time to respond. |
