Political wars are always fought in the middle. I am not left-wing. I consider myself a 40% liberal-40% moderate-20% conservative. But the 20% conservative in me is alarmed by what conservatives these days think is conservative. Like going a trillion into debt (some experts say even more) during the Bush years (if he is re-elected), attacking the environment, deregulating businesses in the ways which brought us the S+L debacle and phony energy crisis (400 billion price-tag to the US tax-payers right there), protecting master thieves like Kenny Lay, lying to the American people not about cheating on your wife but about real things that directly affect us and our futures. These kinds of things should not be conservative, or else conservative becomes a dirty word.
