Two-faced January's profiles look:
Another year anon, a palindrome,

The superannuated pleasure dome
Pleasure and domesticity forsook.
Backwards and forwards, like a metronome,

The present, an unpleasant monochrome
Flabbergasts us with the time it took
To grasp which eras are a palindrome.

Unkind as the Eumenides of home,
Retribution works by hook and crook
Backwards and forwards like a metronome.

Time's indiscriminating fine-toothed comb
(Which for a harrow memory mistook)
Eternally plies on, no palindrome.

Concealed in yesterday's emotive tome
Tomorrow's evil lives, a dud cook book,
Backwards and Forwards Like A Metro Gnome.
Another year 'tis, it's a palindrome!
